Frigga's Bites ๐

CHEESE FILLED MEXICAN MEETBALLS ๐ช
Serves 4:
beef mince 500g
ground cinnamon 1 tsp
ground cumin 1 tsp
mozzarella block 100g, grated, plus extra to sprinkle over
mature cheddar 100g, grated, plus extra to sprinkle over
dried ancho chillies 1
olive oil 1 tbsp
onions 1, finely chopped
garlic 2 cloves, finely chopped
chipotle paste 1/2 tbsp
peeled plum tomatoes 1 x 400g tins
dark chocolate 50g, grated
1 dbl espresso
CORIANDER SALSA
coriander a large bunch, finely chopped
limes 3, juiced
red onion ยฝ, finely chopped
green 2, deseeded and finely chopped
Corn taco bowls or small tortilla
Cucumber
Tomatoes
1-2 sml corn on cob
Green or red pepper
1/2 Red onion
Crunchy salad leaves such as iceberg or romaine
2/3 small sweet potatoes
Mexican Mule (optional)
50ml of tequila, Jesse uses Ocho Reposado (can be swapped out for vodka)
15ml of fresh lime juice (1 tbsp)
ginger beer, to top up
GARINISH:
1 sprig of fresh mint
Lime peel , 1 twist
1 dash of Angostura bitters

Add 5 minutes of moving and mobilising your hips flexors each day to prevent your hips flexors shortening and potentially causing pain/injury. ๐ช

HAMSTRING FLEXILITY AND MOBILITY WORK
Frustrated with tight hamstring?๐ Holding hamstring stretches for minutes on end and getting no whereโฆ Why not give these a go. ๐ช
The exercises below are active/loaded mobility routines. By using active mobility exercise we are able to train and improve nerve tension which allows us to convince our CNS ( central nervous system) to allow an increased range of motion. This technique is effective in creating long lasting mobility in our muscles.
1. Romanian DL eccentric loading ๐
1. Eccentric muscle contractions created a lengthening within the muscle fibres.
2. Perform the eccentric phase slowly and pause for a couple of seconds at your end range of motion.
3. This will not only improve your mobility but also your movement control/technique, strength and also hypertrophy.
2. Reverse active straight leg raise.๐
1. One leg held with band.
2. Lower the other leg slowly and under control
3. Ensure that your hips stay neutral
